My local police has helped me this year, and this has been a trying year for them. Would they accept a delivery from a local bakery or would they refuse it because of health and safety regulation?

Why don't you ask them?

I tried to find information on the Met website, but I got nothing. You are right, I will directly phone them and ask.

I was told I couldn’t give my local station a gift that would put them under obligation so I send them chocolates anonymously.

If you drop something off at the station office (no "precincts" in this country) it will make its way in to some hungry coppers and I'm sure will be very appreciated
