I have a very inconsiderate neighbour.

He is loud - think door slamming, dropping weights heavily on the floor, excessive music playing, washing machine on after 11pm.

Now here’s my dilemma.

I have been working night shifts. And when I get in I feel an almighty urge to slam my front door shut as loud as possible when I get in at 2am to wake him up and make as much noise as possible to piss him off.

I am on the middle floor but there is nobody below me as such since it is a commercial premise.

There is a basement neighbour who hates him as much as I do because annoying neighbour keeps chucking out smelly bin bags right in front of the door of basement neighbour. Basement neighbour is in favour of my plan ☺️

Go for it. First though, I think you should try out the more non confrontational option of....having a conversation with him? It's possible he has no idea how loud hes being.

I have tried talking to him several times. But he just shrugs and says that he forgot to do the laundry and needs clean clothes/gyms are closed so he needs to work out from home/it’s not his fault etc.
