I keep seeing people go live on fb, tik tok etc whilst driving. Some of them have children in the car! The phone us obviously on a mount it some kind but they are constantly looking at their phone and checking who’s watching or commenting etc. It’s really starting to wind me up.

This is something I feel passionate about. I have a close relative who was nearly killed due to another driving using their phone. They spent weeks in a coma in icu us not knowing whether they’d pull through not and then further months in hospital and rehab and now left with permanent and severe disability. It’s horrid horrid!

I just get full of rage about it. I see so many drivers texting and chatting too!! I’ve been known to shout at drivers to get off their phones. I’m not usually a shouty confrontational person but this is something that really rattles my cage!! I used to see a mum drive into school grounds texting!

Not sure what the point of this post is but I need to vent.

Dangerous driving is one thing, but another thing is - why do people stream these type of videos? It's not always driving-related.

I see the kids play gaming videos on YouTube. Sometimes the YT videos are Twitch/YT compilations of people streaming themselves. Yes some of them are people going for a drive, but also other mundane tasks such as having their hair cut, eating in a café or just talking to themselves in their bedroom. What's that all about? Sure I can understand in the cafe example if they were reviewing the food and drink in there and what the quality is like (i.e. a review video), but they're not even doing that.

I'm not sure what the obsession with Tik Tok is either!

I've never seen this, but would say something if I did

There was a police officer a few years ago trying to campaign / raise awareness about this... Can't remember his name.

It is terrifying how some people behave whilst driving.

I completely agree. An immediate unfollow from me which I know doesn’t count for much.
