Or not.

I can't keep up so need a yes or no.

I think the whole thing is orchestrated. The negotiators have been going for months, Boris flies in and within a couple of hours everything will be done and dusted and he will be a hero.

Hmm

Is everyone as confused as me?

No, this is just an “agreement on how to manage the Irish border.

ComeonMoira · 08/12/2020 15:19

Thanks. So is Boris Johnson going to Brussels to do the deal?

Aposterhasnoname · 08/12/2020 15:37

Boris is going to Brussels to bluster about Brexit. Whether or not that will involve doing a deal remains to be seen. I wouldn’t be too surprised if he does to be honest, then he can play the “I’ve single handedly saved Brexit” card, but we'll see.

ListeningQuietly · 08/12/2020 15:46

The UK has agreed not to break international law on the Irish Border

which means the EU might trust the UK to sign a deal

but any deal will involve Boris growing up a lot

so its still highly unlikely

Buddytheelf85 · 08/12/2020 16:00

No he hasn’t got us a deal. But it’s ok! 23 days till streets are paved with gold and there’s an extra £350m a week for the NHS!

Or food shortages. Whatever.

'Nice chap' and 'Mr Gove' do not belong in the same sentence!

WillSantaBeComingToTown · 09/12/2020 01:09

Its all about the fish

We knew it was about the fish in 2016 , 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020

Very fishy

Honestly - he is ok. I used to work for him. He isn't awful and in 20 years is probably the most proficient minister (I am not a Tory but credit where it is due).

Hmm

Can he fly?

He is a little top heavy?

He struggles with jogging or indeed walking with a child in a sling

ComeonMoira · 09/12/2020 13:47

I was being sarcastic about him being nice but I will say that when he's being interviewed on the radio (like this morning on Today) he's got an attractive voice and sounds very reasonable.

I'll never forgive him for what he said to Anna Sourby about her former profession charging by the hour. Misogynist.

@ComeonMoira. What did he say, Moira? Out of interest?
