I’ve been wanting to go bed since 6 it’s been a long day. I’ve just changed into my pyjamas and got into bed. What’s the earliest you’ve ever gone to bed.

You're an adult, go to bed when you like.

pumpkinpie01 · 07/12/2020 19:48

Oooh lucky you , enjoy a nice big sleep

I am a complete night owl, but once I went to bed at 8.45 p.m. It was the final day of an Ofsted inspection (I was a primary teacher at the time) and I'd been in school since 7.30 a.m., a 90 minute journey from my home at the time.

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 07/12/2020 19:49

I often climb in about 7, downside I’m awake at 3!

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 07/12/2020 19:50

If you're ready for bed, go for it!
I've been known to put ds to bed and then take myself off to bed too, so probably 7.30/8ish

TwoStepsAhead34 · 07/12/2020 19:50

We always go to bed around 7.30. I've done it since kids were tiny. I love my sleep, kids are great sleepers. Normally we all get up at 7am.

QueenPaws · 07/12/2020 19:50

I'm a night owl but every so often I'm in bed for 7pm. Sometimes you need it

ShalomToYouJackie · 07/12/2020 19:51

I'm going to bed now 😁

MiddlesexGirl · 07/12/2020 19:54

I don't think I've ever gone to bed earlier than about 10.30!
If I went to bed at 6 I'd be awake again at like 3 in the morning, probably earlier.

Unless you're ill I think you're setting yourself up for disrupting your sleep pattern. Try to hold on long enough that you won't be up early tomorrow and be tired in the early evening again tomorrow.

Pinkvici22 · 07/12/2020 19:56

I’ve genuinely never done this but I want to try! I’m never in bed before 10/11pm, but I’m exhausted at the moment. Problem is I don’t know how to fit everything in if I go to bed earlier!

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 07/12/2020 19:56

I generally go to bed at around midnight - but I often sleep badly, so if I've not slept and I'm really tired I'll sleep for an hour when I get home.

PhylisPrice · 07/12/2020 19:57

I usually go to bed at 10.30/11, every few weeks I have an evening where I'm exhausted and am asleep by 8.45pm. It's like a little reset for my body and I love having the extended sleep!

OohKittens · 07/12/2020 19:57

I'm in bed and much prefer early mornings to late nights. I never sleep past 5.30 even on weekends when the kids sleep past 9!

GrumpySausage · 07/12/2020 19:59

About once a month I head to bed about 7.30, after the kids are in bed. I might watch a bit of TV in bed but often I'll just drift off. I always feel better after it and I think it tops my sleep up!

HitthatroadJack · 07/12/2020 20:02

why on earth, if you haven't got work to do/kids to sort out/ commitments, why wouldn't you go to bed if you are tired? Confused

Jojo19834 · 07/12/2020 20:02

The earliest was 6.45pm the other day. I have a 4 month old so trying to go to bed when they do (normally an hour after) but that day I decided to get some popcorn and wine and watch Netflix in bed! I’m in bed now tbh and that is standard atm. I love my sleep and with a baby, I want to lock it in!

HappyDaze90 · 07/12/2020 20:03

Last week I went to bed at 4pm. I fell asleep just before half 4, woke up around 8 for 30 mins, then back to sleep until 7am the next morning.

I am pregnant though 😂

Ladybird345 · 07/12/2020 20:05

We go to bed early every night, we go when our LOs go to bed so between 7.30 and 8 most nights.
Sometimes we watch a film but other times I'm straight to sleep. I do have a LO keeping me awake most of the night but to be honest even when they start to settle properly I think I'll be in bed early to catch up on many years of lost sleep 😴💤

speakout · 07/12/2020 20:05

9pm is my usual bedtime.

When the kids were very young and lots of nigh wakenings, the 8pm was a good time for me.
9.30 is a late night.
I adore early morning time though- up at 6am even on a Sunday, time to myself, time for yoga and coffee.- early morning is the best time of day.

veeeeh · 07/12/2020 20:06

I'd spend the day in bed with the electric blanket on if I could (and often do without being found out lol).

Just do what you want, and forget about judgements from anyone else.

Stepintochristmas2020 · 07/12/2020 20:07

Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday I hop into bed at 7.30 once the kids are in bed. Dp works away those days. I got on social media and MN for a bit then go to sleep around 8.30. Sometimes I'm too tired to even stay awake until 8.30.

Were up at 6 every morning and I seem to need a lot of sleep so this works best for me.

LindaEllen · 07/12/2020 20:11

The beautiful thing about being an adult is that you can go to bed and get up whenever you want (so long as it fits with the kids/what you need to get done/your job etc).

I stayed up until 4am at the weekend and got up at lunchtime and it was bliss. Haven't done that since I was a teenager!

Whattodo121 · 07/12/2020 20:15

DH does shifts and has just gone to bed now, DS and I are watching a bit more Harry Potter under the blanket before going upstairs to listen to the Harry Potter audio book (are you sensing a theme?!) before he goes to bed. I’ll be in bed by 9pm, and will either watch an episode of Real Housewives or read a bit more Wolf Hall depending on how educated I’m feeling Grin

MrsDThomas · 07/12/2020 20:16
