Asda and Tesco sometimes have some quite nice things, Next sometimes. H and M.

Dorothy Perkins not closing down, just in administration, hopefully a buyer will be found and it will continue.

Simply be, tu sainsburys, tkmaxx, next, will miss debenahms though, especially the jewellery dept for cheap silver jewellery.

Have you tried simply be or fashion world. Also there is a website called crazy clearance that do reduced size 16 plus.

I'm also 43 and a 16. I like clothes from TK MAXX, C and A, charity shops. I'm in Germany where C and A still exists.

Debenhams was between M&S and Primark in Truro. I've bought jumpers, bras & skin care there. So will miss being able to try products, although with covid that's not practical now.
