Plonque - yes I know what you mean. In fact the last time I watched I felt a bit impatient with it. Has a good Christmas feel about it to me still.- as it draws attention to the mean spirited side versus good in people. They all come good in the end.

Love actually , I watched it last night love it . Also home alone 1 & 2
Same here! These are my favourite Christmas films. With Love Actually I always see something 'new' in it. Also I love London at Christmas so this film is perfect.

Watched Christmas Chronicles 2 last night. I quite enjoyed it.

I have always liked Trading Places, which has now apparently been deemed ‘un-PC’. Given the fact that the whole point of the film is to undermine and ridicule racial prejudice & national stereotypes, that seems somewhat bizarre....

Love elf, the Santa Clause, Home Alone and Last Christmas.

My addition is A dog named Christmas. Just cosy and gorgeous.

It's a Wonderful Life

It is one of the few films I can watch again and again (once a year!) and that time is coming around again. I love every minute of it.

tallastrees · 07/12/2020 18:37

Loving the Christmas horror movies.

For some reason DH and I always end up watching When Harry Met Sally - not sure it's officially a Christmas movie though.

OHolyTights · 07/12/2020 18:51

The Snowman
The Snowman and the Snowdog
Father Christmas
The Gruffalo
The Gruffalo's Child
The Tale of Jack Frost
The Polar Express
Gremlins
A Christmas Carol (sorry Muppets, not you)
Paddington 2

Mostly the above are related to happy but tired out memories with the DC. Then there are the old classics I either watched growing up or before DC:
It's A Wonderful Life
White Christmas
Miracle on 34th Street
Little Women
Home Alone
Bridget Jones Diary
Love Actually
Elf
