They have lost my family members drug chart in the mental health unit. They now won’t give them medication. They have told them to just go to bed knowing they can’t sleep without it.

Requesting the on call doctor would be more helpful at this moment in time I imagine. Best of luck.

They haven’t done it just told them to go to bed. I don’t feel this is good enough nor fair.

No that's not good enough. They need to contact who ever is on call.

PurpleFrames · 05/12/2020 00:18

It isn't, unfortunately it happens all the time. Perhaps bring it up with the ward manager on Monday? Or the most senior person on shift tomorrow?

AlrightTreacle · 05/12/2020 00:22

Is this from your family member, or a staff member? I'm a nurse and would definitely complain about this. Losing a drug chart isn't a valid excuse for missing out medication.

Okaynow · 05/12/2020 12:58

It was from my family member.

They did eventually get the duty doctor out.they are so just a very uncaring bunch of staff family member informed them another patient was crying and he said to them “ she will be alright just focus of yourself” and didn’t send anyone out to talk to the woman.

They should be calling on call doctor

Okaynow · 05/12/2020 14:01

They honestly seem awful from what they are saying.
