I'm pregnant and have terrible sickness at the moment. I've gone off most things foodwise.

There are two particular items of food at the moment that I am craving and that I can actually keep down.

I keep coming home and DH is/has given a load of them to the DSC.

AIBU to tell him to stop fucking giving these particular things to the children?

Admittedly they are things that children would like to eat if offered (icelollies is one). But we have plenty of other stuff, even other icelollies they could have.

And AIBU to send him up to the shop to replace them every time he fucking does this. I keep going to get them when I'm feeling rough and there's none left or barely any when I've only just got them.

The other item I've taken to just hiding recently but I feel like I can't even eat it when anyone else is around without being mithered to share it. Usually I would but right now it's the only stuff I can keep down Sad

YANBU. Tell him those things are now off-limits to the kids. You need them.

sarahc336 · 03/12/2020 07:05

Nope he needs to keep them for you or at least keep the placing them. He obviously doesn't understand they are literally the only things you can eat at the min as men cannot ever fully understand what morning sickness is like as it's a very particular feeling I'd say. Xx

PettyAndHormonal · 03/12/2020 07:15

I don't know how I've not killed him yet 😂 I have to have these icelollies (and only a particular type) through the night sometimes just so the nausea stops long enough for me to sleep.

YANBU. Just keep saying it till he gets the message!

PettyAndHormonal · 03/12/2020 07:17

And then I come home and the kids are sat on the couch eating them and it makes me so mad! (Not at them obviously). Like just say no if they ask for them, tell them they are Petty's because she's not well, they know I'm pregnant he could just tell them.

Yes he's being very annoying. You tell the kids too. Ask them what they would like instead of the ice lollies and tell them the baby in your tummy really loves them so could they not eat them for a while (assuming your other kids are very young). And double up on buying them too.

VainAbigail · 03/12/2020 07:33

Tell the kids as well that they’re yours? Not in a mean way, but in a jokey way so they all realise.

Palavah · 03/12/2020 07:45

just buy/make sure he buys enough for you and the kids?

@Palavah

just buy/make sure he buys enough for you and the kids?
It's not as easy as that with things like the icelollies because we have limited freezer space so I can only buy like one box at a time, maybe two if there isn't much else in. I literally eat these things every day and if all the kids are having one too after their tea or whatever that's half a box gone already.

What a pain. Try concealing them in an empty frozen veg packet! This is what I do for my teenager who is vegan so can only have dairy free ice cream. Otherwise my youngest nags for it and her dad lets her help herself even if there's plenty of "normal" ice cream. Not fair!
