Biden won, again, and Trump is tweeting about Barr Grin

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 14/12/2020 23:07

Did Trump write Bill Barr's resignation letter himself? Well he sure as hell didn’t write the tweet about it.

BruceAndNosh · 14/12/2020 23:09

@AcrossthePond55

William Barr just resigned
Resigned /fired/fallen on his sword/walked off in disgust. It's not very clear.

I can't work out how to add his resignation letter but I would sat Barr wrote the 4 lines on page 2. Im.guessing Stephen Miller for page 1?
AcrossthePond55 · 14/12/2020 23:52

@TheNorthWestPawsage

Trump still seems to be BFF with Barr.
I'd say it means they have equal dirt on each other.
AcrossthePond55 · 14/12/2020 23:54

Thanks born. Things are definitely looking up!

Lweji · 15/12/2020 00:03

I've been keeping somewhat away from all the latest Trump drama, but here's to the Electoral College. Star 🍾🥂

lionheart · 15/12/2020 00:16

It actually suits him Across, and Kamala makes sense for Kamala.

I do like it when names work out. Smile

Crikey, that resignation letter, even when he’s resigning he s still a smarmy suck up.

Grrrpredictivetex · 15/12/2020 08:28

Who appoints the Attorney General?

TheNorthWestPawsage · 15/12/2020 08:32

So many $$$ yet so many suffering for lack of $$$.

Billionaire Republicans on Wall Street have been opening their wallets to try and protect David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler’s Senate seats in January 5’s high-stakes runoff in Georgia against two Democrat challengers.

Two super Pacs are planning to spend about $80m on ads and other efforts backing the Republicans.

AG is nominated by the President and "approved" by the Senate.

So if Trump appoints another one before he leaves can President Biden bring in his own in January?
Roussette · 15/12/2020 09:18

Congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Brighter times ahead.

No internet here, you only realise how much you rely on it when you haven't got it, and your mobile signal is crap. It all went down as Google went down yesterday, but nothing to do with it, just coincidence!

lionheart · 15/12/2020 09:35

Oh yes, Biden will appoint his own.

Potustrumpnomore · 15/12/2020 09:38

So now the electoral college has confirmed that Biden has in fact won which everyone knew anyway, what possibly can the Trumpet do now?

TheNorthWestPawsage · 15/12/2020 09:43

Some schmuck current deputy AG called Jeffrey A Rosen has been appointed by Trump to be acting AG for final 4 weeks of Trump's administration.
(Typing those last 6 words felt great! Grin)

Putin has sent his congratulations to Biden now as well. Last world leader to do so I think.

Anniegetyourgun · 15/12/2020 10:00

If I were extremely rich and also interested in democracy, I'd love to mount a legal challenge to some of the counts in the overwhelmingly red states - just for fun, given that it won't change anything. I bet if there had been a lot of dead people voting, lost ballots for the other side etc, that's where you would have seen most of it. It would be cheering to find out that a whole chunk of that 70 million who apparently voted for that idiot, didn't.

PerkingFaintly · 15/12/2020 10:58

The "challenges" are all theatre to subvert trust in democracy and to radicalise people.

So that won't stop just because the EC has voted.

Why should they ever stop ?

If you can keep convincing enough people to keep paying, you could bake such behaviour into US politics permanently. Given the vast expanses of land, how long before one town or city goes the full Koresh and declares they're only going to follow the "legitimate" people they elected with crayons and cardboard, over the validly elected officials ? And these people may not be able to spell, but they have guns.
