Not really AIBU as I know I'm not 🥬

But I can't find any. Last year they were a thing but I could never find any, but I thought they'd come back. So has anyone seen them anywhere, and if you've tried them were they good?

(though if you want to get into an AIBU scrap about whether IABU to love sprouts, BRING IT ON)

I love sprouts ,I could eat a whole plate of them by themselves ,not sure about sprout crisps though🤔

Sparklfairy · 30/11/2020 10:04

Can you make your own? I'd peel them and bung them in the oven or air fryer if you have one with a bit of olive oil and seasoning. Never heard of these before but now I want to try them!

ReginaTheEvilQueen · 30/11/2020 10:06

Yanbu! I had the walkers ones last year, they were yummy 🤤 i haven't seen any this year yet either Sad

LeaveMyDamnJam · 30/11/2020 10:06

I’m sure there is help somewhere for your condition. 🤣

ShirleyPhallus · 30/11/2020 10:08

I think the reason why people think sprouts are gross is because so many of us grew up in the 80s when roast dinners were all sad cuts of dry meat and sprouts boiled to within an inch of their life

Cooking them with bacon and onions so they’re all salty and tasty makes them bloody delicious

inappropriateraspberry · 30/11/2020 10:16

I hate boiled sprouts, but love them roasted! They are definitely sweeter these days though, which helps!
Not sure about sprout crisps. I think Walkers are doing sausage roll flavour this year instead.

HerselfIndoors · 30/11/2020 10:26

Sparklfairy that's actually a bloody brilliant idea, I think that would be amazing! I was actually talking about sprout-flavoured potato crisps, which walkers did last year and the year before I think, but I am now going to experiment with crispy sprout leaf crisps too.

Agree they are best if you roast or fry them. Though I do still steam for nostalgic reasons for xmas dinner.

Sausage roll flavour just isn't the same though :( I was looking an M&S and there was endless turkey and stuffing crisps, roast parsnips crisps (I did get some of those), fecking prosecco crisps (what?) but no sprout ones. I've looked for the walkers sprout ones everywhere too.

Have you tried places like B&M,s ,Home bargains etc,I think i may have seen them there last year? My mum used to do a really nice dish with sprouts ,bacon ,onion and chestnuts at Xmas, and whilst it was very nice for me I j
Prefer sprouts on their own,big juicy ones that have been boiled but with the right amount of bite 😂

HerselfIndoors · 30/11/2020 10:39

ooh thanks x2boys, that's a plan for my next outing.

HerselfIndoors · 30/11/2020 10:44

M&S did some last year.

I love sprouts. Had them yesterday with a roast. Delicious.

LoudBatPerson · 30/11/2020 11:00

I absolutely love sprouts, they are amazing in all ways.

I tried the sprout crisps last year, full of hope. I was very disapointed. The flavouring as all wrong, such a letdown.

HerselfIndoors · 30/11/2020 11:05

Oh nooo! But regina liked them so I still want to try them...

ceeveebee · 30/11/2020 11:06

No but I have seen sprout ketchup being advertised Envy

ReginaTheEvilQueen · 30/11/2020 11:28

I'll just leave this here 😊
