Royal Mail deliveries - how often?

I'm getting quite irritated with Royal Mail now. I know they're struggling a bit because of CV restrictions but we seem to be down to one delivery every 10 days or so and then we get a huge batch of stuff. To be fair they do seem to be getting special deliveries through when they say they will which is helpful for work purposes.

Its sad they've got to this stage and I don't really know how they're ever going to catch up now. It must be awful for the workers with Christmas coming and the space restrictions in the sorting offices, and its going to be so much harder for people to see their families so they're more likely to post things.

What's happening in other parts of the country in terms of deliveries? We are in Birmingham.

DH is a postman, southwest.
Post going out as normal.
There was delays during lockdown 1.0 but all caught up now, and 3 times as busy as a normal Christmas period already!

Parcels? or letters?

Every day. They come at random times of the day as we are two doors away from the end of the route, but we get post every day.

I am old enough to remember there being two posts a day mind you.

Similar story here. We seem to go several days with nothing, then like you a big batch of stuff all at once. I understand they're having difficulties with Covid-19 and staffing, but I don't think introducing the pick up service was a good idea given they were already struggling.

I'm in rural N Ireland and the postman is here every day. Not necessarily at my house, but he's definitely here.

Postman is here every day around 8am. Just outside Edinburgh.

One parcel was a day late and all other parcels have been early. I really can't fault them 😊

We live in a rural area and have a delivery every afternoon. We lived in the suburbs until recently and delivery was hit and miss! Often went several days without a delivery if the post person was off. We have the same postman here every day except Sat when it’s a different one each time. The service is very good.

Our lovely postman comes every weekday around lunchtime, and a bit earlier on Saturdays. We're in very rural Cornwall.

My post and parcels are no different to normal. Post comes daily and Royal Mail parcels on the day they are due. There’s only one Royal Mail delivery a day, around mid afternoon but I live in a small Welsh town, made up of two villages so doesn’t generally warrant any more than that.

We’re just to the north of Birmingham. We can go a several days without seeing the postman and then get a load of post in one go.
We’re supposed to be getting a parcel delivered today, the initial notification said that they’d deliver between 10.55 and 14.55 but the tracking hasn’t updated since first thing yesterday and according to that it’s still in the mail centre at Wolverhampton before being sent to our local delivery office.
