I’m not sure if I’m being unreasonable. DH likes to play board games and has been a bit lonely since lockdown. He is always at home now but I am in the office twice a week as an essential worker so see people through this. Yesterday a friend invited DH over for a meal and he went happily and I accepted it as he needs to see people and it was one friend. But it wasn’t - there were 6 of them all from different households playing board games for about 5 hours around a small table. I am really cross about it - with the vaccines feeling closer I just want to keep my family safe. He says it’ll probably be fine and I’m overreacting. AIBU?

I don't think you're being unreasonable. I'd be really worried if my partner went and spent time with so many households. It feels like he deliberately didn't tell you there would be so many of them?

It would break our local rules anyway as England is still in lockdown, but even if we weren't, I'd be concerned that my partner didn't tell me that there would be so many people, and I'd be worried for all of their healths and the health of my family.

Which country are you in? What are your local restrictions?

No, this strikes me as not being a very sensible idea.

I’m in the mainland USA and we’re only allowed groups of 5 😢
