To not wear a bra?

I've not worn a bra now for months.

I started this mainly because I am pregnant and I found them terribly uncomfortable to begin with when they were particularly sensitive at the start.

I have quite large boobs and I always thought I'd be more uncomfortable not wearing one, but I actually feel much better without, my back hurts a lot less and I no longer have that horrible digging in my shoulders by straps etc...

DH has made a couple of passing comments, nothing too bad and I know he doesn't seriously care either way but what do people think?

Is it okay to not wear a bra? Is it 'inappropriate'?

Admittedly I've been working from home for the majority of this time so I probably would wear one again if I went back to work, although reluctantly.

I don't wear a bra very often nowadays, partly due to comfort\preference but mainly because my psoriasis flared up under my boobs a while back and is proving difficult to get rid of, even with cream. I only wear one when I go out if my top is too revealing of my nipples and it generally gets removed soon after returning home as it rubs my psoriasis and can hurt it or even make it weepy.

I wear bralettes or non wired bras now. I have big boobs and I was sick of spending a horrendous amount of money on horrible uncomfortable bras. I barely wear ‘proper bras now’ except if I feel I need too.

I think it’s a bit odd to not wear a bra in public unless you’re an A cup.

There are lots of comfy wireless bra around now. Could you try one of those?

Nothing wrong with not wearing a bra. But if you do need to, get a proper fitting. Whatever your size the straps shouldn't be digging in.

I wouldn't worry too much about wearing a bra at home. I often wear non wired ones for comfort to help lessen how visible my nipples are through clothes and reduce jiggle a bit, I bought a bunch of comfy bras while pregnant and haven't looked back since (DD now 2 yrs old). Comfort while pregnant is important!

No issue at home. Have a look at the lounging / non wired bras on bravissimo. I'm pregnant with big boobs too and they have been really comfortable.

Haven't worn a bra for years. Bra less at home, sports bra whern I go out to stop them jumping around Grin

I haven't worn a bra for years and before that never wore one in the summer. There is nothing wrong with not wearing a bra. People who think otherwise are unreasonable.
