Hermes delivery

Hermes are trying to tell me a photo of delivery is enough proof? It’s the second time it’s happened where they’ve claimed they’ve delivered (in a public accessed area) but now are refusing to replace my parcel. What should I do

Speak to whoever you bought the thing from.

Is there any CCTV around there see if anyone has taken it?

Obviously not all Hermes drivers are like this, as mine is great. But was shocked to see this

The contract is with the seller - if Hermes left it in an unsafe place, it's their fault, but only the seller can tell them that, as I understand it.

Hermes regularly leave my parcels on the doorstep (of a block of flats, visible from the road) and mark as delivered with a photo - if that parcel goes missing, it's the seller that gives them a bollocking and replaces the parcel.

Also, if it happens at night, after 8 or so, they may have just claimed to have delivered it, and will actually deliver tomorrow.

I was expecting a parcel today from Hermes and it was marked as delivered at 9:15. Through the letterbox, which was impossible as it was far too big for that. Went looking for it assuming it had been delivered to the wrong address. Nothing.

This morning, was buzzed by a neighbour. She asked "did you have a Hermes parcel through your letterbox at about 9pm yesterday?" No I hadn't! Clearly the same Hermes driver marking all parcels delivered. It's a shitter of a job, I can't be too annoyed at them. Told her I'd had the same issue. My parcel was delivered this morning and I hope hers was too.
