Been talking to a guy online. Seems ok. I did a bit of an online stalk and found that his mum works with my ex. They're a close team and will know each other. Also in his profile there is alot of stuff I'm not really into ie. He does up old cars etc. Should I withdraw gently.?

A) depends how much it worries you but are they really going to talk about you?

B) different interests is not a bad thing.

The thing about his mum working with your ex: I'd cross that bridge when you get to know him better -- everyone has a past.

I fail to see why the fact he does up old cars should be a dealbreaker -- or even relevant, really. What's the problem with that?

Presumably the point is that dating someone whose mom is mates with your ex is going to be difficult, but that you might try to look past it if everything else is great. However, if you have little in common as well as this weird situation to deal with, it might not be worth the bother.
