To not see a relative at Christmas because he is behaving as if we're not in a pandemic?

Relative meets lots of different people indoors, refuses to wear a mask etc. He wants to see us over Christmas and will continue behaving the same way in the run up, I'm sure.

Aibu not to meet him at Christmas?

His choice to do that. Yours not to accept it. I'm with you op.

YANBU why give you and your family the worry? You could politely explain, you respect his right to make his own choices but you also have the right not to be anxious or ill because of that so "I'm sure you'll understand why but its not possible for us on this occasion..". Take care

Nobody is being unreasonable for choosing not to meet this year. We have to accept people's decisions for what they are. It's a strange year.

I know many people who aren't meeting with family, even though it's allowed.

Safety first.

Don’t get how someone would vote YABU, I’d love to see the reasoning for it
