School is hiding corona cases

There are currently 4 cases at our local primary school. All confirmed within 2 days in 4 different classes. They only isolate the individual classes and not the whole year group even though they all mix and share toilets. The problem is that the school has only told us about 1 case and not the rest of the cases. I am afraid this might be an outbreak and the school should shut for deep cleaning at least.

School have to report the cases to DFE and they will advise then on what action to take. They won’t be hiding the cases just following the instructions they have been given.

Government advice

Sometimes whole classes have to go home sometimes just a few children

All should wash hands after toilet and mist school monitor this closely do shared toilets are unlikely transmission zones
Any other shared areas are cleaned inbetwern but your child may not be aware or see all procedures taking place , but rest assured they are taking place

The government advice is to isolate as few people as possible. If they're different classes the claim will be that they are isolated cases brought in from the community.
