Anyone tried it? I’ve seen the ads for the treatment zappers you can buy for home, but are they any good?

There are thousands of reviews online for all the different brands.

I bought a Lumea a few years ago, did my legs religiously for 6 months. Before I had thick, dark hair on my legs that if I shaved at 8am would be stubble by bedtime. 2 years later, having done it about 4 times since, my leg hair is only just starting to get back to how it was and it's because I've not been arsed to do it again.

Absolute gamechanger for me.

Caveats though:

  • works best on contrast, so dark hair on lighter skin. Very olive skinned, fair haired, or black/brown skin will have less good results I believe.
  • Had also good results on underarms and bikini line (although I never did those as religiously as it was my legs that were the problem - I like them smooth but shaving gave me awful rashes and scabs due to how thick and fast growing the hair was). But on my 'hormonal' hair - my lovely moustache and lower stomach Grin - it was less effective.
