To let the hairdresser do what she wants

I’m due to get my hair coloured again when lockdown ends but don’t want what I’ve had the past two times as the colour fades very fast. However, I don’t know what I want. Am I being stupid to let the hairdresser do what she wants with my hair as long as she doesn’t cut it?Grin

Hmmm, I'd be open to suggestions as certain colours 'go with' certain styles if you see what I mean. I've had bright hair but long and it was a bit much (needed a good chop), whereas a more natural colour but shorter felt too boring (on me).
Tempted to say just sod it and you might be pleasantly surprised! I did it once and have to admit to looked so much better (but I can't stand having no hair to hide behind so grew it back to its former straggly glory sharpish)!

Hmm, I wouldn’t say that to a hairdresser in case the result was terrible. Maybe ask for suggestions, look in magazines/online/Instagram for some ideas.

Depends how well the hairdresser knows you I think. I absolutely do say to mine that I want a change but don't know what, however I've been going to her for a long time and she knows my likes and dislikes.
