I know he cannot pull out on time, but he could at least be on time for a press conference for once.

I suppose it hasn't crossed your mind that he may have been in a briefing or on a phone call about one of the myriad of issues the Gov deal with daily that the public never hear about?

It would be nice to be on time but Government doesn't always work like that

I think the PM (to a certain extent) has to manage his own diary and be late if he needs to be late. We’ll wait.

All I was thinking was, "thank goodness he's just reading a speech". He is much more bearable to listen to when he's not speaking off the cuff.
