To buy my son the pink star stacking toys

Rather trivial, but I’m looking at buying my son some stacking toys for Christmas and have come across the most beautiful star shaped silicone ones. They come in two colours one that is more ‘boyish’ and one that it more ‘girlie’. I want to buy the ‘girlie’ coloured ones as I prefer them and I don’t think LO will care either way, but OH thinks we should go for the more ‘boyish’ colours. AIBU to go for the pink toned ones?

i doubt ds would care about colour, dh is probably worried his own penis will shrivel up if he's near pink stuff !

It's a colour. It doesn't reflect the usability of a toy.

I have two DDs, close in age. There were several toys we had two of, (like a toy pushchair), where we had a blue one and a pink one so they could tell whose was whose. The pink and blue was because they were the only two colours available... It would have done the same job if the colours were purple and green, or orange and yellow, or red and white...
Would have done the same if they were boys.

(Lots of tea sets seem to to be pink or purple, or other 'girl' colours for some reason...)

We don't do "boys colours" and "girls colours". DS is 5 and his favourite colour is still pink. Toys are toys

What exactly does your OH think is going to happen?

What a dick.
