AIBU to ask for your best dinner party puds (preferably easy to make...) so I can salivate over them and brighten up an otherwise dull Sunday? Taking dessert to dinner party next weekend and totally lacking in inspiration. Can’t contain dried fruit as friends abhors that....thanks!

Mary Berry's white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake.
Nigella's chocolate mousse with marshmallows.

There are some white chocolate pots with balsamic strawberries on BBC good food which always go down well, but they are very rich!

croon979 · 22/11/2020 19:30

Oooh thanks - off to google the white choc cheesecake....

Otherwise find a Lidl and peruse their Christmas freezer section. Chocolate mousse house, melting puddings, toblerone cheesecake - there's loads there.

Pinterest has a lot of desserts, especially if you like cheesecake

croon979 · 22/11/2020 21:10

Ah yes I will have a look on Pinterest....although Pinterest always slightly terrifies me as I go in there for a 5 minute look and look up and find a whole weekend has passed! 😂

Nigella’s chocolate pavlova with cream and raspberries. Never fails to go down VERY well with everyone I’ve ever made it for.

sobbing at the thought of you being able to go to a dinner party. I miss people

I'd make a Pavlova.
