Got some Mr Kipling Irish Cream Fancies and they are so small! Tasty, but tiny

YANBU. They definitely used to be bigger! I love a French fancy Grin

DarkDarkNight · 22/11/2020 19:42

They are very very sweet though. Have two?

flaviaritt · 22/11/2020 19:43

They shrunk them. But Wenzel’s do big ones.

McRibpain · 22/11/2020 19:45

I like it when they shrink things, it means I can still have a taste of what I like but won't get so fat.

Dahlietta · 22/11/2020 19:45

There are Irish Cream ones? The orange Halloween ones are awesome. They should be a thing all year round.

Holothane · 22/11/2020 19:46

I love these should do a Christmas one no alcohol taste.

Dahlietta · 22/11/2020 19:48

You've just inspired me to look them and I found: You can get a whole box of just the lemon ones! They're the best ones! It's incomprehensible to me that you only get 2 in a box of 8, but you get 3 each of the pink and the chocolate...

PanamaPattie · 22/11/2020 19:48

Put one in each cheek. Sorted.

Dahlietta · 22/11/2020 19:49

And there are chocolate orange ones!! Sorry, I'm totally hijacking this thread...

spacegirl86 · 22/11/2020 19:51

@McRibpain it just means I tend to have more of then which works out worse.

CakeRequired · 22/11/2020 19:52

I thought they were meant to be small? Like as part of afternoon tea kind of thing?

yetanothernamitynamechange · 22/11/2020 20:01

ONLy if you consider one to be a portion. It isn’t. One portion = one box

SadderThanEeyore · 22/11/2020 20:04

@PanamaPattie 😂😂
@yetanothernamitynamechange yeah, it turned out to be Blush
I'm sure they never used to be this small. Will be looking for the lemon ones and hiding them

I buy the M&S ones. Still minuscule but I can manage two or three at a time Cake

tofuschnitzel · 22/11/2020 20:12

That's Mr Kipling cakes in general though, isn't it? Teeny tiny cakes that are gone in a few mouthfuls.

^ this..... Everyone knows that a single box is a single portion and they have just been cut into bite sized chunks for maximum icing-to-sponge ratio!!

LindaEllen · 22/11/2020 20:16

Absolutely! I'm so disappointed I have to have 4, just to make sure I get my fair share!

onepieceoflollipop · 22/11/2020 20:19

Does anyone even like the chocolate ones? (Serious not light hearted)

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 22/11/2020 20:23

I'm sure the Aldi version are only about 100 cal. Therefore it's the law to eat about 4.

hollyhope · 22/11/2020 20:25

Everything's gone smaller: Wagon Wheels, Curly Wurlys, to name a couple.

scrivette · 22/11/2020 20:31

Ah maybe that's why I eat most of the box Blush

onepieceoflollipop · 22/11/2020 20:32

I’m not convinced the smaller sizes make us eat less (two crunchies I just ate were delicious)

Nope. They go in the bin Grin
DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 22/11/2020 20:49

Do we not perhaps feel that french fancies have not got smaller but we have in fact got bigger from eating too many fancies

I did eat a pack to myself the other day Grin
