Is this gross?

So my SIL allows my nephew (1 yo) who is baby-led weaning (fine), to eat directly off the table - including in cafes and restaurants before lockdown. She doesn’t even wipe the tables before or after. I can’t help thinking this is unhygienic, both for baby and for others? AIBU?

(As an aside, she also has a very annoying habit of never cleaning up afterwards - preferring to either let her dogs eat the mess up off the floor afterwards in her house (to me this is beyond gross), or to allow someone else to clean it up when at someone else’s house or in a cafe (I think this is just rude!) - especially as if people comment on the mess she will simply reply something along the lines of “that’s why I have dogs at home!”)
