Pill side effects? TTC

Hi we have decided we want to start TTC.
I have been on various pills and the injection for the last 10+ years!
Currently taking the POP.
Can I expect side effects from stopping my pill or is it generally fine?
With Christmas only 5 weeks away and my birthday 2 weeks away I don't want to feel rubbish just because I've stopped my pill.
Should I wait until after Christmas or just go for it and hope I feel fine?

I had withdrawal headaches for about a week when coming off Levest. Apart from a few spots along my jaw/shoulders during my period I haven't had any other changes.
