To ask how returns are working with online purchases

I know this isn’t an aibu but can anyone advise, I bought a coat for my son from next and it doesn’t fit, obviously the shops are now shut and we’ve been told he needs to self isolate for 2 weeks but I also need to return the coat within 2 weeks for a refund, does anyone know what’s happening with stores in regards to refunds for purchasing bought online? I thought 14 days wasn’t long at all isn’t it normally 28 days to return something?? Couldn’t find any information on next website

Under the Consumer Contract Regulations, you have 14 days from whence it arrives to advise them you're returning - so send them an email and let them know you're cancelling the order and will be returning the goods . Then you've a further 14 days to actually return it after you've advised them. So you should be OK.
But can you pack it up and arrange someone to pop by and collect it from your step and take it to the PO and get a certificate of posting for you?

I work for Next , it will be fine . They are still doing online returns at their shops so you can get someone to take it back to your local town for you or wait until after isolation .

I would give them a call most places are being relaxed with timings for returns at the moment.

What @huuuuunnnndderrricks said! Next manager here and we're doing returns from the door or you have 14 days from when we open back up to return items.
