To hate when someone taste tests your stuff

You've cooked a soup or something and then someone else comes and taste tests it in the pot on the stove. I dunno why but I feel weirdly defensive about it as in: I cooked it, I'm the only one who gets to taste test it.

Am I weird? 🤔

I didn't realise people actually did that. I thought it was just one of those weird things from adverts or films Shock

SnowdogFarts · 19/11/2020 19:59

I agree, OP, especially when they double dip for a second taste! dirty bastards

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 19/11/2020 20:10

Yeah I'd find that quite rude actually!

TeapotCollection · 19/11/2020 20:14

They wouldn’t get close enough in our house 😁

I have one friend who I allow to do this, and only because he is a professional chef. Anyone else, if they don't trust my palate, they don't get fed.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 19/11/2020 20:20

If I want someone to taste test I provide them with a spoonful, they are not allowed near the pan!

Nottherealslimshady · 19/11/2020 20:23

If my husband did it I'd find it perfectly normal, but I also call him and ask him to taste it. If like MIL did it I'd find it weird and rude.
