mastitis spanning 5 years

breastfeeding my third child, I've been getting sore, hard, hot lumps in both breasts for five nearly six years now. I don't have a clue what to do it kills and makes me ill for a few days and then gets better on its own.
Dr referred me to hospital 2 or 3 years ago and I was told that since it comes and goes they can't do anything and not to be worried.

but I get a fever and feel ill and sluggish and crap for days 😪
just came on here for a moan and to see if anyone else has an on again off again relationship with mastitis?

I’ve only ever had it a handful of times. Nothing like you describe but it’s awful to I feel for you. Do you do the jiggle after after feed?

Lead forward and jiggle the boobs / massaging with hands to ensure the milk is flowing seemed to help me. Sorry I can’t be of more help!

yes I was doing it just because it felt good, even before I googled what mastitis even was
