Amazon delivery failure - refund?

Nearly 3 weeks ago I ordered a bulky/heavy stand alone punch bag from Amazon. The delivery estimate was 4-5 days.

Nothing arrived. I chased and the seller said they’d had problems with yodel, the item was being delivered in 2 packages and they’d changed to DX. The seller gave me the 2 tracking numbers. The bag has arrived but the base has not. Tracking shows it’s at DX, not even out for delivery.

We’re now at the stage, so long after the original proposed delivery date, that Amazon says I can ask for a refund. Wibu to go for a refund and if I do, who’s responsible for organising/paying for the return of the bag I can’t use?

I’d say if they want the item back they should cover postage.
But ultimately they didn’t deliver your order so you are fully entitled to the refund
I’d be surprised if they ask for the bag back. Or they might refund you the base and not the bag. Can you get th base from somewhere else?

Nope the bag and the base go together iyswim; they’re no use without each other, are brand specific, you can’t buy this bag without a base or vice versa.

I’m going to go for the refund I think and stop waiting.

If you ask for the refund they may ask you to return the base.
Normally if you request a refund they send you an email with a QR CODE. Ypu wrap the item ideally in what you received it in. Take it to the post office, they scan the code abd post it. No cost to you.
