To write a book?

I would say I've had a pretty interesting life. Filled with ups and downs, lots of sex, drugs and rock and roll.

I've always been a good writer, however, I'm not sure whether to write an actual memoir (who would actually be interested) or whether to write a fiction about my life.

I'm a student who finally has the opportunity to write for enjoyment. I'd love to write a book.

Memoir (to work commercially) has to either be about someone in whom the target audience already has an interest, or of very exceptional literary merit. As a rule.

And if you can write something exceptional, why not write a novel? You’d sell more and find an agent more easily.
