Can you access YouTube on a smart TV without access to sky box?

Wondering whether to get my child a tv for her room. She mainly watches YouTube but not sure if we’d need another sky box to watch it up there? We can’t afford another one so just wondered if YouTube is accessible on a smart tv without a connection.

Nope, just pick a TV that has YouTube as an app. Many do. No need for a Sky Box at all.
