Colleague spreading rumours about me

Hi, I'm quite stressed as I have a strong suspicion one of my co-workers us spreading rumours about me. She's said things about other people in front of me too, so I think she's saying things about me to others behind my back. I'm not sure if I should ignore it and carry on or what should I do?

What sort of things is she saying? Are they untrue?

Twigletfairy · 18/11/2020 18:51

What makes you think she is saying things about you, and what sort of things is she saying?

If she behaves this way around everyone, I'm sure most of your colleagues know she is a liar and shot stirrer and don't really believe much of what she says anyway

Maintain your dignity.
People worth your time will know the type of person she is.
We all know the 'type'.

So when she's said things about other people in front of you, what did you do? Did you challenge her? Tell her to stop gossiping? Do you believe what she's said about those people?

If she's like this with everyone then nobody will pay any attention to whatever she says anyway.

If its damaging to you and your reputation then go to your line manager.

Do you actually know she's been saying things(have you heard anything, someone said something etc) or do you you just suspect she is because she's saying things about other people to you?

Do you listen when she does?
