To get completely smashed?

Been up since 8 working on an essay that's due Friday, left it till last minute and thought I'd give myself today and tomorrow while my daughters at her dads to get it done.

But to my surprise I put my head down and worked at it until 6 and have managed to almost finish it, just have the intro, conclusion and finish the referencing to do tomorrow.

I have the Friday feeling (even though I'm very aware it's not Friday 🤣) and just want to polish off a bottle (or two) of wine and listen to music. Don't get my daughter back till tomorrow night but I feel kind of guilty as it's a Wednesday night and I'll obviously be drinking alone due to lockdown Blush

Lockdown = fuck it 🥳

Waxonwaxoff0 · 18/11/2020 18:35

YANBU. Nothing else fun to do at the moment, I say crack on!

Wolfiefan · 18/11/2020 18:35

Just don’t get so wasted you don’t feel well enough to do the bits that need doing tomorrow!
I’ll have a glass with you. (Wasn’t going to but if it keep you company! Grin)

Thomasina79 · 18/11/2020 18:35

Go for it!

Feministicon · 18/11/2020 18:36

Go for it, I’d stick to one bottle or I’d be sick and that’s not fun but other than that why the devil not. Well done on getting ahead with your essay

LividLaughLurve · 18/11/2020 18:36

Oh god, do the finishing first and then get smashed when it’s done.

PodgeBod · 18/11/2020 18:36

Lifes too short to wait for Friday Grin

Bluntness100 · 18/11/2020 18:37

I would be cautious. A hangover isn’t going to help you think straight. And so you still have room to fuck it. And you still need to go over it and revise, correct etc. As I’m guessing you want to get a good mark.

PaperTowels · 18/11/2020 18:37

Maybe just stick to the one bottle, so you can get the rest of the essay done tomorrow! Wine

Chamonixshoopshoop · 18/11/2020 18:38

If what you have left is super simple, go for it! I find references and conclusions quite challenging. But if it's less than 1000 words and it's easy, I would

MyOwnSummer · 18/11/2020 18:38

Do it! I'm pregnant so have one for me!

Nottherealslimshady · 18/11/2020 18:38

Finish your essay first. You'll be so mad at yourself if you blow this by having a drink. Reward yourself with a drink when its done.

PotteringAlong · 18/11/2020 18:39

Finish it first! Do not risk getting smashed and not being able to finish it tomorrow!

nancybotwinbloom · 18/11/2020 18:40

Save a copy of your essay.

Open the wine.

Open a new word doc and do your intro etc whilst drinking the wine.

Re read in the morning Grin

whereisyourheadat · 18/11/2020 18:41

@Chamonixshoopshoop yeah it's literally 100 word for intro and 100 for conclusion and referencing is easy least for me Grin

PaperTowels · 18/11/2020 18:42

Have you backed up your essay? Email it to yourself, then there's a copy on your email server.

whereisyourheadat · 18/11/2020 18:44

@PaperTowels yeah I have it saved on usb and my computer

OP posts:
bubblebubblebubbletrouble · 18/11/2020 18:44

I would do the intro & conclusion first. If it's only 200 words it shouldn't take more than an hour.

S111n20 · 18/11/2020 19:14

Oh do it. Enjoy 😉 🍷 🎶

whereisyourheadat · 18/11/2020 19:27

Thanks, going down nicely Grin

PeggyArmstrong · 18/11/2020 19:28

Why not? Sounds like you've earned it!

Northernmum100 · 18/11/2020 19:30

Yep, make sure you save it then crack open the wine.
And crisps
And cheese and crackers
Music of your choice

Life is too short not to!!!!!

AtrociousCircumstance · 18/11/2020 19:30

You haven’t finished yet! Earning yourself a hideous hangover to have to work through tomorrow seems premature OP!
