I see you have the weights in the background to show the haters you lift.

Can anyone think of witty reply to this please. Iam new to on line dating and rubbish at this. It's in response to a picture I sent of myself.. Weights just happened to be in background.

Why bother replying at all to such a negative comment?

I've just deleted Tinder because it's full of nasty idiots.

The final straw was a man whom I exchanged 11 short messages with over 2 days. The final two accused me of "fishing for compliments online" and a reference which showed that he had clearly found my photos on my sm shortly followed by one asking me "how many men are you chatting up on here?" He is the fourth man that I've had to block in 2 weeks on Tinder for messages that made me uncomfortable.

Online dating lately seems to full of men using it as an excuse to be abusive and/or controlling towards women.

As a result, I'd be very suspicious of any message like that.

To be fair @JuliaJohnston it occurs to me that I am also guilty of that now. We're even.

Answer "Haters will hate".

Then send another shot with you holding a sack of potatoes and write:
"Taters will tate".

Then one of you with a large OLD fish and write:
"Baiters will bait."

FTMF30 to me, that message says "I'm a pretty awful guy, but I might be in with a chance if I pedal the line that other guys on here are worse, so she'll be grateful for my attention".

It's also too chavvy/casual for me. But I find nearly all men on OLD chavvy, I'm into posh boys!

I don't think it needs a response, witty or otherwise.

Just disregard it and reply to whatever else he said.

I wouldn't listen to heavily to the ' he is a dick' portion of the comments (atleast not with the info currently know).
I would assume he is trying to be interesting, witty and engaging. Sometimes things said can be said that fall flat, these are not a sign of horrible nature but rather a mistake/reading the room wrong/ the comment sounding funny in your head).

I would say:
a) yes they hide my cream cakes
b) if you ever want some muscles you can borrow them.
c) they may brilliant weapons on ppl I dont like, the police have not caught me yet!

Oh, and on the subject of daft comments - I am of the "chinny reckon" generation so I keep my mouth firmly shut on the topic of silly things the young folk say. 😁

@GreenlandTheMovie I think it must be an age think. I'm not in my 20s but he seems to just be making conversation and trying to pick up on an interest/hobby he thinks OP has based on what he can see in her pic. The term "haters" could just be anyone negative. Maybe jealous or threatened by her. It's like the saying "fuck the haters". It's actually a subtle compliment as it implies OP would have haters in the first place.

I'm getting way too invested in this but some of the comments are hilarious. It is like two worlds colliding.

Maybe try girlsmouth for a more age appropriate in the know comments.

I mean it's hardly worthy of a response really is it. I can think of a few replies but the point of having banter is that it comes naturally. Be yourself.
