What I ordered vs what I got

My dog died at the beginning of September. I ordered one of these ornaments with ashes in for £85 after seeing the first picture on the crematoriums website. The other pictures are what I received... It’s too late to complain as it was delivered nearly 4 weeks ago days after my mum had a stroke, so I noticed it was crap but it just got bunged on a shelf. I’ve just compared it to the original pictures for the first time and realised it’s so bad it’s almost funny. It’s awful isn’t it?

So sorry for your loss. I’m not sure the pics do this justice as I have looked several times and I think the last one looks gorgeous. For what it’s worth , I think it is a lovely idea. We had our dog’s ashes put inside a wooden sculpture, and that too was not how I expected, but I have learnt to love it now. Could it possibly be ( please forgive me if I’m wrong) that just seeing it is upsetting and therefore maybe nothing could live up to what you imagined? I hope you learn to love it; or get a suitable replacement. Either way, I think it’s a lovely idea ! 🥰💓

It's not to late to complain sweetie, I'm sure if your not happy something can be done. Just try. Sorry for your loss x

QueenoftheFarts · 17/11/2020 18:45

I think all three of them look pretty awful. If its not what you expected, challenge it.

NowWhatUsernameShallIHave · 17/11/2020 19:14

Just my opinion they’re all hideous

Ddot · 17/11/2020 19:25

Stop it, my fur baby is in a box on top of my wardrobe with a fairy sitting with her. Dont care what you think I loved her. Grief for a pet is awful. If your not happy with globe email them sweetie

Poocalypso · 17/11/2020 19:27

Ffs Stop commenting if you like like these items or not, that is beside the point, completely unhelpful and maybe hurtful to someone in an already sad place.

Please OP do complain about your objects, if they are not as promised, they should either refund or redo them. Goodluck.

Mandalorian · 17/11/2020 19:33

I put some of my boys fur into a Pandora bead, he's still very much alive but I thought I'd try it to see how it worked. I was pleased with the outcome but have never tried to make another.

Sorry you're upset OP. Losing a dog is bloody hard Flowers

I don’t think people are being hurtful. Nobody is saying OP shouldn’t grieve for her pet. They are commenting on the quality and confuse aspect of the globes. I think OP has shown she has a sense of humour too. You can laugh and grieve at the same time you know.

lightsout · 17/11/2020 19:35

I think yours is nice (and prefer the big heart) although I can see how you’d be disappointed as it isn’t what you thought you’d be getting (colour / size etc). I don’t think you’re unreasonable to complain but the ashes have been used now so I don’t think they can change it really... at best you may get a slight discount.

LovelyIssues · 17/11/2020 21:03

The one you have is nicer. Clearly not worth £85 though Blush

Still1nLove · 17/11/2020 21:08

I thought these were your dad’s ashes, sorry op.

I prefer your one to the original one, I do t like the wooden stand though

winniestone37 · 17/11/2020 21:40

I don’t think it’s that bad 🤷‍♀️

Celestine70 · 17/11/2020 22:55

I didn't read the bit about the dog and thought this was your mother. Not to my taste but think it looks ok.

Mamanyt · 18/11/2020 00:29

I realize that you are disappointed, but...with made-to-order items like this, there is always a pretty wide variation from item to item. Surely the most important thing here is that your pet's ashes are there, memorialized. It isn't awful, just different.

Ddot · 18/11/2020 06:19

Mandalorian
could you please tell me how you did that to the charm, I want to have a go

MrMeSeeks · 18/11/2020 07:16

Hope you don't take some of these replies to heart op, i think the idea is lovely Flowers
Sorry for your loss

Silicone bead mould, silver bead inserts and resin. Very simple and cheap if you buy the mould and findings from China (though takes a while to get here)

If you’re in a rush there is a U.K. company called Resin8 who I imagine has everything you need to get started.

Ddot · 18/11/2020 10:35

Little business there for someone

MummyMayo1988 · 18/11/2020 14:43

What you received doesn't look anything like the first picture but I still think what you have is sweet and a lovely way to remember you pet.

SallyB392 · 18/11/2020 16:36

I like the second and third. I don't like the first.
