What I ordered vs what I got

My dog died at the beginning of September. I ordered one of these ornaments with ashes in for £85 after seeing the first picture on the crematoriums website. The other pictures are what I received... It’s too late to complain as it was delivered nearly 4 weeks ago days after my mum had a stroke, so I noticed it was crap but it just got bunged on a shelf. I’ve just compared it to the original pictures for the first time and realised it’s so bad it’s almost funny. It’s awful isn’t it?

I have horse tail hair set in rings so don't find it strange at all. You have to look really close at mine to see what they are

My ESA pigeon JonJon passed in August. Planning on putting his ashes in an aluminium encased vial with his name and a message inscribed on it. JonJon loved me as his mate and always wanted to be with me, so now he can.

turkeymince · 16/11/2020 21:51

It looks lovely xx

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 16/11/2020 21:52

@Bitboredactually

Sorry all I made a big mistake upthread. Thank you to those messaging me telling me so. I have asked for my post to be removed.

Huge apologies for misreading you OP.

Mine followed yours. I've asked for mine to be deleted also.

Apologies OP.

Benjispruce2 · 16/11/2020 21:55

I don’t see the issue. Was your dog bigger than the example hence a bigger heart?

FortunesFave · 16/11/2020 21:56

I can't even work out which is yours! What's wrong with me? Why does everyone else know?

WiddlinDiddlin · 16/11/2020 21:58

If they are blown glass there should be some disclaimer that they have little control over how the ashes react with the glass...

Not sure on how its done though. I am going to have some of my dogs ashes put into a little bead at some point when I can bear to go dig a teaspoon of her out of her box !

FlatFace · 16/11/2020 22:02

Thanks for the nice replies. Don’t worry about the mistake bit bored Smile. I don’t mind that some people hate both, it’s that the item itself and the quality aren’t what I expected. They said the ornament only required a tea spoon of ashes, you won’t need much to make a ring Elvesinquarantine.

Since my first post I’ve gone through the messages and I’ve even received a completely different necklace to the one ordered! If my dogs name wasn’t on the ornament I’d be wondering if I had the wrong stuff!

Are you vegan?

HumanFemale1 · 16/11/2020 22:10

They all look like a child made them imo, I wouldn't pay £8 let alone £85

throwaway100000 · 16/11/2020 22:10

It’s like they have used another businesses product to advertise with

Changechangychange · 16/11/2020 22:12

Another person not totally sure which one is the "before" and which is the "after" picture. They are all hideous Confused

FlatFace · 16/11/2020 22:22

QueenPaws your ring is beautiful Smile. I didn’t order online.I text pictures of the items I wanted, paid for them at the same time as the cremation and they dropped the items off 5 weeks later.
change I’m sure you can tell the difference and are just being snide.

If you aren't happy (and I wouldnt be!) then complain and write an honest review to alert others.
I am deeply suspicious of companies offerring these services as you have no proof it is even made of your own pets ashes.
Sorry for your loss OP, he lives on in your own heart.

Floralnomad · 16/11/2020 22:30

Well the necklaces are completely different , I’d call and ask them if they’ve given you the wrong order .

GabsAlot · 16/11/2020 22:41

looks like theyve mixed up the orders to me

SpeckledyHen · 16/11/2020 22:57

I would definitely let them know that you aren’t happy with it as it is significantly different to the one you expected.
I would then stick in the ground with some bulbs and wait for the spring for a little memorial garden to appear .

WiddlinDiddlin · 16/11/2020 23:02

Ohhhh... yeah the necklaces are very different, the first looks like glass but the second looks like resin.

FlatFace · 16/11/2020 23:03

They messaged at unsociable hours before so I’ve text asking if it’s mine. What an idiot not noticing the necklace is completely different! I’ve probably been wearing a necklace with someone else’s dogs ashes in ffs.

@MissBaskinIfYoureNasty

Christ I really need to slow down and read things properly. I thought you had got this orb with your mothers ashes and hair in it and I was wondering how I could delicately ask if you're quite alright.
Hahaha same!! I was thinking oh dear...
ferociouskin · 16/11/2020 23:13

Sorry for your loss OP and about your mum

katy1213 · 16/11/2020 23:26

£85?? They saw you coming. I'm not sure which one you're complaining about because each looks as bad as the others.
But you have to admire the 'entrepreneur' who came up with the idea! I wouldn't be too convinced it's the ashes of your dear departed - but I'm a cynic!

TableFlowerss · 16/11/2020 23:38

I prefer the last two photos. I didn’t realise the first had hair in it I thought it was just a pattern.

Sorry about your mum and your dog x

TableFlowerss · 16/11/2020 23:48

I feel sorry for you OP. Since reading your update and seeing the necklace. It’s absolutely nothing like the one you ordered.

Regarding both items, I would complain as they really aren’t what you thought you were getting.

LizaE · 17/11/2020 00:33

Snozza's sister jewellery company (I can't remember the name, but you can click through the snozza website) does nice memorial things.

I ordered a snozza nose cast and a footprint charm for my old dog but I think they do ashes vial necklaces, iirc.
