Today the boiler we think burnt out, there was a really awful chemical smell in the kitchen like what I think poisonous smell, called the gas people out who said the boiler must have burnt out no leaking gas etc will the food in my kitchen be okay to eat still?? Or do I need to throw it out? Tia

If your food is in the fridge and in cupboards in tins/packages it should be fine I would think. Anything wet sitting out maybe not. Fruit is peel it. But frankly I’d wait till the boiler repair arrive. Ask them what the leak was and then go from there. Good luck !

I think if you're going to be harmed by it, most of that harm will come from inhaling it, which has already happened.
