Study Buddy/friends for teenage DD with autism

My 16 year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with autism. She is 'high functioning', in mainstream school and working towards her GCSEs this year. She has trouble making and keeping good friends and often feels very lonely. I'm looking for peer groups for teens with autism that might help. She'd love someone to study with and talk to. Any ideas?

Sorry you are going through this 💐.
I can’t offer any advice but I have a teen Dd year 11 who I am struggling to understand, I don’t know whether or not she is autistic (she won’t talk to us and her attitude towards me is dreadful, it got much worse during lockdown 1) but I think she does have quite a few traits. She has a very small group of friends now which she found herself (I think they had all been bullied by the more popular mainstream kids). But I worry about this going wrong especially with one girl in particular. Take care.
