Opened vibrator delivery

Firstly, I'd like to say I have no shame about this at all. I've been waiting for a delivery of a lovely new toy for an age (about a week) but I've been in serious need of a lovely de-stress.

The order has come this morning, I get a knock on the door, ask who it is with no response. I end up opening the door and it's a package. I immediately realise it's open and not only is the package open and you can see what it is but the cellophane has been ripped open. On closer inspection, the parcel isn't sealed properly and looks like it's only stuck properly on one side. So I now do not know if it's been used, etc plus the person delivering it knows what it is too.

I definitely don't want it now. AIBU to complain? Who the hell do I complain to, RM or the sender? I'll admit that I'm much bloody grumpier now to top it off.

No wonder yodel are always so late!

It really depends what they are delivering. Sometimes, they come early.

..and that's when they make the moise that gave the company it's name.

donquixotedelamancha · 16/11/2020 15:09

Just going to leave this here...

Are you suggeesting OP employs him instead of the satisfier 2?

Was it a non Royal Mail service?
Parcels sent by courier can be tampered with
Complain to retailer

Tearsfortiers · 16/11/2020 15:32

@Lifeisforalimitedperiodonly I wonder if that was at the same boot sale where I saw a half used tube of KY Jelly for sale?!

Yesyoudoknowme · 16/11/2020 15:33

Doesn't damage the toys like soap can. See love honey or any of the sex toy sellers, they will have it.

@BoyTree

That video was hilarious, my kids were asking what I was laughing at Grin
What the actual fuck was that guy doing Hmm

Beautiful3 · 16/11/2020 16:34

I think it would be fine. Sounds like a neighbour got it and opened it by mistake! I doubt very much that someone used it! Just wash it in soapy water.

BoyTree · 16/11/2020 16:34

He did it for HOURS!!! I can't work out whether I actually want to know why, or whether it would ruin my life...

Confused555 · 16/11/2020 20:49

@BoyTree - I can’t help but think he was sharpening his oral skills 🤣😳

burleycha55i5 · 16/11/2020 21:19

@YetAnotherSpartacus

I had the same with an ergonomic mouse (not a euphemism). It was pretty obvious I'd been sent one that was either a shop floor model or which had been used and returned. I kept it because it was a rare find (recently discontinued model) and because I have no intention of using it internally. Annoying though.
Oh Lordy GrinGrinGrin
SynchroSwimmer · 16/11/2020 22:52

Probably one of your neighbours who opened it thinking it was her Avon drop-off.

Meanwhile here’s an amusing option for sending totally non-discreet toys where the postman won’t have to use his imagination......😂

[/quote] HA. Three hours licking a doorbell. Omg. I'd burn the doorbell.
MiffedEmployee · 16/11/2020 23:39

It was sent by Self & More - definitely discreet and nothing like some of the other brand's trading names on the front or anything.

I had the time to fully open it up tonight and although the box was bent there was a hygiene seal on the box (one of those rippable perforated ones) that was perfectly in tact. I've got a much grumpier, sunny disposition now Grin

Yes the doorbell one came to mind Hmm After working with the public for so many years, people are bloody odd in loads of different ways.

AlwaysLatte · 17/11/2020 00:06

Something like that in damaged packaging, I'd definitely send back too!

Babyiwantabump · 17/11/2020 00:14

Ooh I’d be a bit careful with those sucking vibrators OP. I know of someone who got one a bit urm stuck and had to have it removed at the hospital .

I'm really disturbed by that man licking the doorbell.

IsolaPribby · 12/06/2021 10:43

@Caminicks

ZOMBIE THREAD 🧟‍♀️ ALERT

Arrowheart · 12/06/2021 10:47

It's a vibrator not a bomb. People don't generally get upset about perfectly normal things being delivered. If you really think it has been used then just ask for another but I really think you are way overthinking this.

Letsgetreadytocrumble · 12/06/2021 10:49

Just return to manufacturer like you would anything else that's opened but should be sterile

Sterile???

Bluntness100 · 12/06/2021 10:53

Sorry op but you’d me chuckling at thinking someone opened and used it. No ones that desperate 😂😂😂

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 12/06/2021 10:55

Zombie thread people!

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 12/06/2021 10:56
