Opened vibrator delivery

Firstly, I'd like to say I have no shame about this at all. I've been waiting for a delivery of a lovely new toy for an age (about a week) but I've been in serious need of a lovely de-stress.

The order has come this morning, I get a knock on the door, ask who it is with no response. I end up opening the door and it's a package. I immediately realise it's open and not only is the package open and you can see what it is but the cellophane has been ripped open. On closer inspection, the parcel isn't sealed properly and looks like it's only stuck properly on one side. So I now do not know if it's been used, etc plus the person delivering it knows what it is too.

I definitely don't want it now. AIBU to complain? Who the hell do I complain to, RM or the sender? I'll admit that I'm much bloody grumpier now to top it off.

No wonder yodel are always so late!

It really depends what they are delivering. Sometimes, they come early.

..and that's when they make the moise that gave the company it's name.

Doesn't damage the toys like soap can. See love honey or any of the sex toy sellers, they will have it.

I think it would be fine. Sounds like a neighbour got it and opened it by mistake! I doubt very much that someone used it! Just wash it in soapy water.

He did it for HOURS!!! I can't work out whether I actually want to know why, or whether it would ruin my life...

I had the same with an ergonomic mouse (not a euphemism). It was pretty obvious I'd been sent one that was either a shop floor model or which had been used and returned. I kept it because it was a rare find (recently discontinued model) and because I have no intention of using it internally. Annoying though.

It was sent by Self & More - definitely discreet and nothing like some of the other brand's trading names on the front or anything.

I had the time to fully open it up tonight and although the box was bent there was a hygiene seal on the box (one of those rippable perforated ones) that was perfectly in tact. I've got a much grumpier, sunny disposition now

Yes the doorbell one came to mind After working with the public for so many years, people are bloody odd in loads of different ways.

Something like that in damaged packaging, I'd definitely send back too!

Ooh I’d be a bit careful with those sucking vibrators OP. I know of someone who got one a bit urm stuck and had to have it removed at the hospital .

It's a vibrator not a bomb. People don't generally get upset about perfectly normal things being delivered. If you really think it has been used then just ask for another but I really think you are way overthinking this.

Just return to manufacturer like you would anything else that's opened but should be sterile
