I got a bit carried away on eBay looking at stuff and got into a bloody bidding war!

I'm now the highest bidder on something worth a fiver BlushEnvy

Tell me I'm not the only fool to fall into this bidding war game? Pleasesssssssssss.........

Have you ever got into a bidding war with someone in real time on eBay? Did you win in the end of did they get ya in the last few seconds?

Also would IBU to not tell DH? Grin

I got outbid at the last second yesterday and I was soooo glad afterwards as I had got carried away Blush only got up to £30 but when you know it's only worth £5 I would've been gutted if I had to pay that!

Funnily enough, earlier today I was remembering a time about 15 years ago when I paid over the RRP for a beaten up second hand slide, then drove 90 minutes round trip to go and collect it, and then my DS grew out of it about 6 weeks later.
Happens to the best of us.

I think you can look at this positively: you won't make the same mistake again!

I remember getting far too competitive once bidding for a dress. I think the words "fuck you you fucking thieving bitch" may have come out of my mouth Blush

Look up sniping tools - they bid for you

Depends on what it is!

Biddums · 16/11/2020 10:19

Oooh, I'm glad I'm not the only one lol.

I'm still the highest bidder. I'm also hoping I get outbid, don't know what I was thinking!

I think it was because, I put a bid on and was the highest then a minute later my phone bleeped, so I upped it and the other bidder kept doing the same. Grr.

I'm normally very good at walking away but because I had been on eBay looking and buying stuff for Christmas, just got too carried away. Also the wine might not have helped Blush

I got stuck in one the other month over a frozen dress (from disney store with tags) for DD once. Ended up paying only a fiver or so under full price because someone else (who I may have called a massive knob) wouldn't stop out bidding me Blush

Don't know what came over me, usually I'm a last second sniper with my top bid and if I still don't get it then move on.

It's sods law, if I ever put anything on it barely gets a view. If I'm bidding on something everyone wants it Confused
