To ask warmest greek islands end of May/beginning of June?

We have to reschedule some Easyjet flights we couldn't use because of Covid.

I want to go to Greece in 2021 but I think summer will be way too hot for me.

Which are the best islands to visit end of May/first week of June? ie. what airport to book even now, to then have a think about which ones to go to?

The warmest islands will be the most southerly. Crete? Rhodes or perhaps Kos.

We go to Crete for May half term and it's beautiful, mid to high twenties. Fly to Chania (easyjet from LGW if that is near you) and stay somewhere not too far away. We stay in self catering apts with a pool, on the beach, restaurants each side but quiet at that time of year ... it's absolute heaven.

And do you fly to Crete to get to other islands like Kos?

We went to Gouves in Crete last June (1-8) and it was high 20’s every day.
You fly into Heraklion and it’s about a 4 hour flight.

Where we stayed wasn’t very touristy but you could go elsewhere on the island for more to do with your son.

we went to kefalonia in May, but more towards the beginning of May, weather was abut hit and miss but had warmed right up by the end of the week. night times are nice and cool as well that time of year. Kefalknia as a while isnt very touristy, but we stayed in Lassi which has bars and restaurants, lovely beach and close to the airport aswell, we got a taxi and literally took about 10 mins

The pools may have a bit of a chill but the days are warm.
I always find it’s a different heat there, more bearable!
