gazebo in my yard

a couple weeks ago i seen a gazebo in my back yard
not sure how it got there or where it from
nobody has come to claim it it is damage by winds to
am i allowed to keep it now and i will try to fix it for summer
or shall i knock on the doors in the street or leave on my front garden for owner to claim?

I'm assuming it blew in? I would drop notes through to the houses nearby, or is their a neighbourhood WhatsApp or Facebook group? I wouldn't knock due to covid.

OP I think I’d drop notes through doors or try the local Facebook group. Otherwise if you fix it up someone might come knocking for it and it would be such an embarrassment to have claimed it without trying to find the owner.

I had this happen a couple of weeks ago. Not a gazebo but a barbecue cover. I asked my immediate neighbours and then pinned it under a brick on the front lawn. I left it there for 2 weeks. No one claimed it, so it is now my barbecue cover.
