To think calling 25/26 year olds lady is quite odd

I just feel that woman is more suitable for younger people. Lady I always think of as at least 40. Recently heard someone call a woman at work that lady with the blonde hair not even a young lady just lady. The woman is 25/26. Don’t know if it’s just my views though.

I'm 25 and I agree. I don't mind being called a girl which many people seem to take an issue with.

I remember being about 15 on the bus once and someone referred to me as 'the lady over there', I was taken aback haha.

Well at that age you're not exactly young ladies anymore.
Girls is stretching it a bit far.
Youth/ young is up to about 24.
Well it was for marketing purposes when I was at uni.

@Magnificentmug12

Lady is being polite, using manners.

Women is a bit rude- like whose that, the cats mother 😂

People don't necessarily think "man" sounds rude though. Surely in the 21st century, "woman" shouldn't be seen as rude.

And I don't understand why people found/find the word "she" more offensive than the word "he". I hate that phrase about "the cat's mother", it's sexist, antiquated and misogynistic. I don't think anyone would say "who's he, the cat's whatever" when a man is called "referred to as he"

At the grand old age of 40 I love it when people call me ‘the girl’ 😂😂

But in all seriousness ‘lady’ or ‘woman’ is fine by me.
I also love it when old men call me ‘Bach’ it reminds me of my granddad and makes me smile.
