That their incompetence will result in delays and even more unavoidable deaths. This opinion is based on their performance so far.

Yabu - They will handly it smoothly and competently.
Yanbu - They will fuck it up.

I'm not working a twelve hour shift administering a vaccine with no breaks. I only work twenty hours a week. All my colleagues are part time too. And there's not that many of us. One is already taking early retirement.
None of us want any overtime. I have patients booked in for routine stuff up to Xmas eve already.
If its practice staff doing it in the main it will take forever.

@247SylviaPlath

It’s being commissioned by NHS England. And it’s a total shit show. If it ends up being a success it will be entirely down to the people on the ground making it happen.
NHS management couldn't manage a booze up in a brewery. Leave it to the armed forces, at least they understand management, logistics, etc.

YANBU.

They get everything wrong. Everything. Laughing stock of Europe.🙄

GoldenOmber · 15/11/2020 13:13

I think it’ll go okay actually. There will be a few high-profile fuck-ups and many ranting posts on here about the absolute SHAMBLES I DESPAIR. But overall, rolling out vaccines is something we can already do on a large scale, and mass vaccination has been part of all the pandemic preparation plans for ages so there’s been a lot of time to prepare.

No I wouldn’t trust Boris Johnson to competently organise a piss-up in a brewery, but he won’t be in charge of the plans personally!

The NHS have vast experience of rolling out vaccination programs, the Army on the other hand have none.

If you really want to fuck up any roll out of the CV vaccine, then bring in the army (which is very much controlled by the MOD, an organisation well known for its disastrous decision making)

Why do people think that the fix for any solution is the army? Weird.

Skysblue · 15/11/2020 14:32

Oh god they will won’t they. America, China, Russia and the rest of Europe will all have working vaccines and be coming out of the pandemic and we’ll be taking a different vaccine made by Boris’ best mate’s uncle’s company (no experience of vaccine making or indeed medicine but it was a persuasive bid to the emergency tender). Will be given to us by vets or if really lucky a retired pharmacist because NHS so understaffed.

Then when they realise it doesn’t work they will buy the leftovers of the American vaccine for 3 x the price of a newer more effective European one.

@MarshaBradyo

Honestly you are just one of those negative people who bash around being depressing.

A scientific break through vaccine that people didn’t think was possible and moan moan moan.

Ironic!

Sorry that you find facts depressing.

MarshaBradyo · 15/11/2020 17:41

Polka glad you apologised

But you haven’t provided any.

YABU to think that Labour would have done any better and that the vaccine isn't total bollocks. HTH.

Heatherjayne1972 · 15/11/2020 18:24

If it goes smoothly I’ll be very surprised

I don’t trust this government at all

In what way is the vaccine total bollocks?
