to Argos?

I just bought a washing machine which they installed and it's leaking.

I couldn't get through by phone. They cut me off live chat mid conversation. Got through the second time and they agreed to get the engineer to contact me in two days, but a week later, nothing. At the same time I'd asked to make a complaint and was told a manager would contact me in two days. Again, nothing. I don't have Twitter and don't have a printer to write a letter. They don't offer an email address.

I wrote a review of the washing machine outlining the problem and it wasn't published.

I've never encountered problems like it.

I'd ask for a refund and then buy a new one from a company with better customer service.
Which company is it? A bit of googling should get you the CEO's email - email them directly as well as customer service and ask for a refund .

I don't have Twitter and don't have a printer to write a letter.

you don't have to go to a special shop or anything to get a Twitter - you can use that same thing you used to post on here & signing up probably takes less time than signing up to mumsnet.

As for writing a letter - pen, pencil, crayon, whatever and a bit of paper - printed doesn't make it any more official
