Has anyone had what they thought was periods during pregnancy ????
I haven’t been well recently, suppose you could say pregnancy symptoms. My issue is we haven’t actually done the deed in months and I have had what I thought was periods. I have been vomiting a lot/ been bloating and sorry for the tmi but piles came back ( haven’t had them since second pregnancy 7 years ago )
I just took a test this afternoon which has come up as a very clear positive, took another and the same result.
I am so confused right now. I will book an appointment with doctor of course but I’m in completely freak out mode.
It defo wouldn’t be planned I have 2 DC 13 and nearly 7.
Partner and I have been friends for a very very very long time but only started dating 11 months ago.
I don’t know what I am actually asking 🤣

Dear @Whattheactual20201
Is all okay, your MN friends want to know how the appointment went last Thursday as we all have our fingers and toes crossed for you xx

fastwigglylines · 28/11/2020 17:43

Yup, fingers and toes crossed over here!

Whattheactual20201 · 28/11/2020 18:43

Hi I am so sorry
I have been in processing mode.
We had another scan and I have seen consultant at hospital and had a specialist heart scan.
Her heart looks fine ( DD had severe hearts defects )
Because of both my DD and DS births the consultant said he would prefer me to be induced early so that there is “ prep “
But she looks great and we are relieved there is no visible sign of heart defects.
Waiting on a confirm inducement date but it will be around the 28th of December.

How exciting, that you get to meet your special little lady, soon 🥰

Fantastic news on the scan 🎉 x

Whattheactual20201 · 28/11/2020 19:08

I have also bought everything we need and probably over indulged in Xmas presents for older 2 🤣🙈

Oh, such nice news. This must be such a rollercoaster ride for you. I hope all goes well. X

Whattheactual20201 · 29/11/2020 01:45

Well I’ve had an unexpected night.
I am on maternity ward.
I started leaking fluid.
No contractions yet and not in any pain.
They have done a ultrasound again just now and baby is still fine heart rate etc
However my temp is raised and heart rate slightly up. ( don’t feel particularly ill )
Now I am laying here waiting and don’t think I will be getting any sleep.

Oh goodness OP! Another shock. How many weeks are you now, about 34/35?

Whattheactual20201 · 29/11/2020 02:17

32 weeks !
Babies heart rate is great which is good news !

Tbf I have never made it to 36 weeks before they had to induce me with previous 2.

jessstan1 · 29/11/2020 02:24

Of course you can't sleep, you're excited! I'm excited for you. Congratulations.

BogRollSpiderLadder · 29/11/2020 02:32

This is all VERY EXCITING! 😍

Goldensnitchy · 29/11/2020 03:02

Hope things are ok OP Flowers

TenShortStories · 29/11/2020 03:54

Oh wow, I hope you're not too anxious and can get some rest (of course you can't, way too much excitement!).

Just think, you've only known you're pregnant for 5 mins - imagine if you'd got to this point before realising! Random fluid leaking would have been a big freak out moment!

Whattheactual20201 · 29/11/2020 03:59

I am ok I am going to try and get some sleep now. Trace is still looking good.
They have started me on some antibiotics and taken bloods.
Hopefully can get a few hours sleep.
Still not in any pain or anything.

Onedropbeat · 29/11/2020 04:09

How exciting!

Good luck

jpclarke · 29/11/2020 04:23

I have just read this thread, what a journey you have been on in the last few weeks. I hope you get some sleep and that you and your precious baby girl are ok. Thanks

Whattheactual20201 · 29/11/2020 04:58

Well good news !

The reason they did the ultrasound was because my blood pressure was also low and in my previous pregnancy I have very significant issues because Of placenta.
But that all looks great.
Her heart trace checks continue to be normal.
They have tested me for infections ( feel like a circus down there now )
My temp and heart rate are still elevated and blood pressure still low but I don’t think feel all that bad apart from really tired !
They are giving sorry don’t know the actual correct term for it as he said a lot in a short amount of time but I think steroids of some kind to help babies lungs.... in case of early delivery.
As it stands - baby seems healthy
Issue seems to be me !

OP posts:
MyMistakeToMake · 29/11/2020 08:58

I had steroid jabs before my first two babies. From what I recall it's to help the babies lungs mature?
Hope you managed some sleep. X

amazinggrace1958 · 29/11/2020 09:07

Great news! Praying for your precious girl, she should be fine. (My DD had a micro preemie girl at 23+5 weeks, weighing 1 lb, 4 oz less than a year ago. She does have some issues but is thriving.)

BlueSuffragette · 29/11/2020 09:14

Best of luck OP Flowers

Betteb · 29/11/2020 09:16

Good luck OP, hope all goes well Flowers

LannieDuck · 29/11/2020 09:55

I managed to miss this thread before. What an exciting month you've had!

I hope all goes well today.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 29/11/2020 10:16

FIngers crossed everything stabilises, but looks like baby wants to come in time for Christmas!

Poetnojo · 29/11/2020 10:34

Just read the thread, what a whirlwind couple of weeks you have had. I hope all goes well. I have similar age gap with mine, they are now 24, 17 and 10, they all get on very well and ds 24 spoils ds 10.

Whattheactual20201 · 29/11/2020 11:29

So I do have an infection and my leaking went from leaking to a pretty large amount of waters lost at 6.30 this morning.
I have not gone in to labour. Due to
Waters gone / the infection and past history they are discussing keeping me on antibiotics for the next 24 hours until they give the second set of steroids.
They then think weighing it up she is safer to come out.

I’m not allowed visitors so feel a little lonely and a bit lost !
