To ask for help with my frizzy, tufty hair.

Hi. I have always had difficult to manage hair and I would love some advice of anyone out there has similarly unruly locks.
It is naturally wavy / curly in the right conditions but the main problem is frizz. And by frizz I mean loads of little short hairs, particularly at my temples, but also all over my head generally, that frizz up and stick out when the rest of my hair is allowed to go curly. I don’t think these are broken off hairs, my hair has been like this since childhood, I just seem to have these wispy tufty bits all over the place! Frizz ease and serum etcdoesn’t seem to help, these hairs are only a few inches long, they just do whatever the heck they like! I used to handle it by straightening my hair but now my hair is getting thinner this makes it look too flat. To make it worse I have a stupid cowlick hairline that encourages my hair to stick up rather than fall nicely to one side. It’s driving me nuts! Anyone else seem to have short frizzy hairs that ruin the look of naturally curly hair?

Mine went very frizzy after a brazilian blow dry that went wrong - more Brazilian blow fry a few years ago.
Look at the curly girl method - even if you don't follow it slavishly, switch to using sulfate free products and avoid heat treatments,
I find the cantu range brilliant, available in boots/superdrug, but tons cheaper if you have any black hair product shops near you.
I cowash (washing with a conditioner rather than shampoo) my hair about once a week, wash with shampoo maybe every three months, it's in great condition.
AsIAm is another good, low cost brand.

I had frizzy hair the texture of garden twine until I went sulphate free. It has transformed my hair to actually feeling soft. I use the Maui moisture range from OGX (available in Boots) and use the hair butter instead of conditioner. I also use a curl creme, but I don't have the same problem with very short hairs (except in the spring Hmm) so I don't know what recommend for them - gel? mousse? hairspray?

Yes I am total curly girl convert. I tell everyone! Look for a utube on it.
Just wash hair with conditioner , blast with cold water, scrunch dry with a t-shirts/other non towelling cloth and tie up in turban for a bit. and I add a bit of pure aloe Vera gel while wet.
Totally changed my hair from nondescript wavy frizzy, tricky to style- proper lovely smooth long curls now. Easy, every day. It's amazing
