AIBU EBay feedback system is rubbish

In fact EBay in general
I only opened an account to sell 2 items. One buyer says they didn’t receive item so wants refund
I’m not convinced but stupidly have lost receipt from post office so can’t prove item was posted although assuming postage is extra slow as England is in lockdown.
I’ve issued refund (grudgingly) to stop the buyer harassing me but can’t close my EBay account for 30 days apparently
Also can’t leave any kind of feedback unless it’s positive!
What happens if the item turns up (which I assume it will eventually) then the buyer has item & money

Always send eBay items with tracking. Even proof of postage isn't enough.
The feedback thing is annoying.
And yes the buyer can end up with the item and their money .

I bought an item which didn't arrive and ebay refunded me as the seller had no tracking info. The item was delivered about 2 weeks later so I posted it back to the seller but I imagine some people would have kept it.

Ebay is really challenging as a seller. Being unable to leave negative feedback was what stopped me using it completely after dealing with one too many bad buyers.

You can leave no feedback and block the buyer. I guess that's the only thing you can do 🤷‍♀️. I normally print my postage labels via EBay as tracking is included and it's more convenient.

This is why I stopped selling on eBay. Too many buyers claiming items hadn't arrived/arrived damaged and sellers can't leave negative feedback.

It's full of scammers. eBay empowers them. Awful platform. Nonsense rating system. Completely meaningless and a veritable party for scammers.
