Lunch Vouchers?

HiyaMeAgain · 10/11/2020 16:54

Hi all, DS is off school for 2 weeks due to having to isolate. He is entitled to free school lunches, Am I able to claim vouchers for him while he is off?

Don't judge please, I am really struggling at the moment and any little helps.

Call his school tomorrow and ask them op. They will be able to help you.

You should get vouchers from the school. I’m getting them for my son. The whole place is closed though.

I wonder if there is any way a packed lunch could be collected from school. I would definitely ring and ask. If not , I would contact your local authority and see what options locally there are.

Ring school and ask. I read on here that they have to pass the funding on to you. Not sure if that's true though. If not they can probably do a food bank referral. Flowers

A lady I know contacted her local food bank direct and they delivered a crate of food to tide them over.

Can you google local numbers? Or ask school/go surgery/hv for advice?

I have emailed the school and asked if they can help. The school is still open, so I can only assume they will get the lunch funding as normal?
